Private Swim Lessons

I have avoided private swim lessons my whole entire life because I couldn't come to terms with the fact that I can't swim. I can swim well enough to stay afloat and save myself if needed; however, I've never been a strong swimmer. I'm native San Franciscan and was not exposed to swimming ever. I never left the city so it wasn't a requirement.....Now that I'm in Pleasant Hill with two young kids, I was forced to learn how to swim, basically to save my kids if I happen to find them on the bottom of the pool. The anxiety I suffered just being around a pool with my kids was such a barrier. I've had 6 lessons with Linda and I now have the confidence and skills to save my little trouble makers, if they so happen to make their way to the bottom of a pool. I hesitate to specifically identify my instructor because she is very busy and I selfishly don't want my time slots to fill up during the next swim season. However, I feel compelled to write a review and can't do so without giving her a shout out. The enrollment process was super easy. I went on to their website, paid for my 6 sessions in advance, requested Linda due to her amazing reviews (specializing with adults), received a phone call from Linda the next day, and the rest unfolded so smoothly. It was the best money spent. I've done group lessons in the past but it's not the same. The instructors don't focus on your technique and don't have the time to work with you individually. It is so worth it to have private lessons with Sunsational Swim School!!!

I am an adult swim learner with no prior experience in swimming. My instructor was Linda and she was patient enough to teach me swimming. Time and again, Linda corrected my mistakes and I was able to swim confidently, within 3-4 classes. By my 9th class,I was able to jump and swim ( 8 feet height ). It proved that I am learning quite well and improving. I was quite excited to see this change in me. All thanks goes to Linda who taught me swimming very patiently from the scratch. I appreciate Sunsational Swim School for quickly assigning swim instructor, matching my requirements and training adults like me.

My 5 year old granddaughter, Amelia, was visiting from out-of-state for 3 weeks. I wanted take advantage of her time here for some swim lessons. I initially scheduled with another school, however, the dates and times available weren't convenient. I decided to call Sunsational Swim School based on their reviews. They were able to match Amelia with a local instructor fairly quickly. I purchased a six lesson package. I really like the convenience of the home lessons and the length of each lesson. Maile, her instructor, has done a great job with Amelia. Her swimming has improved very noticeably, now swimming across the pool. Maile was patient, encouraging, and not only verbally instructed Amelia but also showed her what she wanted her to do, or how she wanted her to correct her form, as a visual example. Thank you Maile. I'm much more comfortable with Amelia around the pool now!

Our swim teacher Maile is amazing! She's dependable, always comes on time with a positive attitude, lots of energy and smiles. I was impressed that she brought toys and treats for our daughter. Her sunny disposition allowed my toddler daughter to take to her immediately. Her bright personality encourages my daughter to make progress in her swim lessons. I would highly recommend Maile and Sunsational Swim School!

Sunsational has been great to work with. We have used them for two summers now for private swim lessons. We worked with Maile and she has been very kind and accommodating to our schedules. Our daughter has loved her and has made some great strides in her swimming skills.

Lara is great, she enjoys working with her students! My 7 year old granddaughter is so excited to see her every time!!!

Both my children (aged 6 and 3) like Lara a lot - they get so excited when she arrives for their lessons. From a parent perspective, I appreciate that she is able to focus specifically on the needs of each child and work at a pace to suit each one.

Our experience with sunsational instructors is great.

We had our first lesson with Maile on Saturday and she was awesome! Super bubbly and positive. Our three and a half year old daughter took to her immediately. She even had her treading water a little bit!
