Hi, my name is Alanah. I used to be a lifeguard for two years at the Cape Coral community pool, where I first started swim lessons. I`ve worked with kids from ages 2-12. I have experience teaching kids who have never been in the water before, to kids that just want to learn swim strokes. I love teaching swim lessons, because I get to work with kids and watch them grow as a swimmer. I am currently enrolled as a student at FSW, and used to be a competitive swimmer from middle to high school.

Hi, my name is Jeremy. I've been teaching swim lessons for 5 years, working with all ages from infants to adults. In addition to teaching water safety, I was also a swim and dive coach for 4 years and a preschool teacher for 2 where I received some experience with special needs children. I myself was a competitive swimmer for 11 years and am currently a triathlete. I love helping young swimmers reach new goals and getting beginners to overcome their fear of the water, all while having fun!

Hi, I'm Janice! I am a high school English teacher and have taught swimming since 1987 with students ages 6 months to adults. I worked for the YMCA and the University of West Florida as an instructor, lifeguard, trainer, Aquatics Director, and Family Services Director.
I was a competitive swimmer and am experienced in stroke development. I also specialize in inclusion and adaptive aquatics for both children and adults with special needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Hi, my name is Anthony, I've worked as a lifeguard Instructor with the Y.M.C.A. and managed a pool as a Swimming and Safety Instructor teaching swimming lessons for over 30 years. Ages ranging from infants to adults, special needs students, water aerobics, and remarkable results with fearful swimmers. I"ve recently acquired my Boating Education I.D. card from the (NASBLA) approved by the state of Florida. I love teaching swimming because I almost drowned and helping others to swim is my joy.

Hello my name is Darla and I've taught swimming lessons ever since I was in High School! I'm a professional educator and currently teach middle school students. I've taught infants through adults how to swim--including my own children and my own mother! I have worked with students who are terrified of the water, as well as those who have non fear. I love being by the water and feel very strongly that swimming is an essential life saving skill that every child and adult should have.

He is credentialed as an Athletic Trainer and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and has provided personal training for all levels of personal fitness, all ages of athletes, and individuals progressing after formal rehabilitation.
Jeff likes to work with all ages and fitness levels to improve swimming skills and comfort in all situations in pool and open water swimming including triathlon training.

My name is Nikki Plassenthal. I have been teaching people of all ages how to swim since 1988. I have taught hundreds of people how to swim throughout the years. I was a lifeguard for over 20 years, worked as a rescue scuba diver, have been certified in WSI, & was a Red Cross lifeguard certification instructor up until 2017.
I love being in the water & teaching children & adults how to be confident in their swimming abilities. I have 2 degrees from The Ohio State University.
